Change

When the leaves begin to

and the colors start to change, we catch ourselves looking around and thinking that

Things seem to be different this time of year.
Time s l o w s down; time keeps slipping.

We have no control over the seasons. We need to learn to let go of the things that we cannot control. It is a bittersweet time for everyone.

Just
         look
                   around.

There is a certain swiftness to the way things change. What we need not forget is just because things are ending, better things are coming our way. It is a cycle that has been going on for years and years.

If we choose to look at it in the proper light, we can find contentment in the fact that we have absolutely no idea what is going to happen to us. It is terrifying and exciting and absolutely beautiful.

With new changes comes time for us to reflect on the people we would like to become. It is a chance for us to grow as individuals and move on from the past.

If we change the way we look at things, the things we look at will change .

The seasons are changing,
we are changing;
life is truly miraculous.

  1. This semester’s blog experience has been very interesting and enjoyable for me. I love racking my brain for creativity, and I especially love reading other people’s stories and seeing how they portrayed things differently than me. I found it a really helpful tool to have other students in class comment on our blogs with their thoughts and critiques. Our network of blogs showed me that there is an infinite number of ways in which we perceive things, and that there was no wrong answer for any of the topics—just different opinions and viewpoints. It really is such an amazing thing that a group of kids with entirely different backgrounds can come together and write the most creative and personal blog posts about their lives. This network of blogs relates to issues of text because it shows us that we often overlook the true meaning of the word “text.” It is more than simple words put down on a paper. A text is something that speaks to another person. It does not have to be a word or a sentence—as long as it is portraying a deeper meaning. For example, the killings done by Victor Kelly in Resurrection Man are viewed as a text. This is because he would precisely kill the bodies with knives and then set them down in ways that proved a bigger point to the media. He wanted it to be known to the world that he was the one in charge of the murders, and he succeeded. This is just one example of how texts are more than just words. They can be pictures, videos, drawings, and so much more. Through these blogs I have furthered my knowledge about what a text truly is. I really enjoyed this experience and I hope that I can do a project like this again in my future classes.
